Activity During WWII

He was employed as a civilian guard at Mason General Hospital prior to his induction in the Army on July 12, 1945. He received his basic training at Camp Lee, Virginia. For field training, he was sent to the A. V. Hill Military Camp. For further training he attended Engineers School at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. At Fort Belvoir, he was hospitalized because of a bronchial attack and received an honorable medical discharge on November 19, 1945.
