Activity During WWII

On January 1944 he entered war service and was sent to the Medical Training Center, Camp Barkley, Texas. From there he was transferred to the School of Neuro-Psychiatry at Mason General Hospital, Brentwood New York and then to the Battey General Hospital, Rome, Georgia. In November 1944, he went overseas with the 636th Medical Clearing Command, and served in England, France, Belgium and Germany. With the 12th Corps he participated in the invasion of Germany. Later with the Corps of Engineers he served in Berlin as Battalion Surgeon and later as Group Surgeon. On January 5, 1947, He was discharged at Governor's Island, New York. His awards include the European Theatre of Operations Ribbon with two Battle Stars.
