Activity During WWII

Enlisted in March 1941 and promoted to Sergeant before attending Officer Candidate School in July 1942. Served with the 22nd Quartermaster Truck Regiment and 110th Quartermaster Battalion, 3329th Company. Fought in the African and Italian Campaigns. Wounded in Italy in October 1943. Awarded the Purple Heart, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Medal, and 3 campaign stars. Honorably discharged from service as a 1st Lieutenant on 27 January 1946.
