On February 5th, 1942, he entered war service and began his basic training at Newport, Rhode Island. He served as a Pharmacist about the USS Tasker H. Bliss, the Leonard Wood, the Ariel, and with the USS Navy Group in China. His foreign service included the French-Morocco Invasion, stations in Trinidad, Iceland, Panama, England, Okinawa, Pearl Harbor, Australia and India. With the Naval Intelligence Group he served in the China Guerrilla Warfare. His awards include the Good Conduct Medal, European Theatre, Asiatic-Pacific Theatre, WWII and American Defense Medals. On November 15, 1945, he was honorably discharged under the Navy point system.
