Activity During WWII

9 February 1942 entered active duty in the Division Headquarters of the 26th Infantry Division. served in the European Theater of Operations. Initially was an Antitank Gun Crewman for 16 months, then was a light truck driver for 18 months, where he drove a 1.5-ton 6x6 Dodge truck over all types of terrain under blackout conditions. 3 January 1945 awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his meritorious service during military operations in France against the German Army. 13 November 1945 honorable discharge.
