Activity During WWII

He entered the service on February 6, 1943 with the Naval Supply corps and received a Lieutenant commission in the U.S. Navy Reserve. After attending Harvard University, he was stationed at the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, Florida, before going overseas to North Africa. He sailed on August 21, 1943 from New York on board USS Tarazed (AF-13). On March 10, 1945, he was killed in a motor accident in Oran, Algeria, where he had been stationed for almost two years.
