Activity During WWII

He entered the service in November of 1943 and took his basic training at Camp Perry, Virginia, after which he was sent to Philadelphia and Boston to take the course of Fireman for Ship Service. He was subsequently shipped to Bermuda, returning for leave to the United states in May of 1944. After reporting back to Boston, he was sent to England. His family was notified in June of 1944 that he was missing in action, and then in July of his death in action.
