Activity During WWII

He was inducted into the Army Air Corps in February of 1942. Serving overseas for 26 months, He participated in the African, Sicilian, Italian and D-Day Theatres of War. He was awarded a Ribbon with four Battle Stars, the Good Conduct Medal, and two Distinguished Unit Citations. Returning to the United States in November of 1944, he was stationed at the Greenville, South Carolina Army Air Base, chief training center for B-25 Mitchel combat crews. On September 25, 1945, he was honorably discharged at Mitchel Field, New York.
