Activity During WWII

She enlisted in the Army Nurses Corps on December 15, 1942 with the rank of Second Lieutenant. She served with the 3rd General Hospital Corps attached to the Seventh Army. Her foreign service included one year in Africa, six months in Italy and one year in France. On June 16, 1945, she received the promotion to First Lieutenant. Under the Army point system, she as honorably discharged from Fort Dix, New Jersey on January 14, 1946.
