Received awards, including, Combat Infantryman Badge, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three bronze stars, Good Conduct Medal, WWII Victory Medal, and the Bronze Star Medal. He was later awarded the French Jubilee of Liberty Medal.
