Entered service 11/28/1941. Basic training at Camp Phillip, Kansas. Spent two years in training to learn morse code. Served as a switchboard operator in communications as part of the 375th Regiment operating radio and telegraph equipment. Campaigns and Battles - Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, Central Europe. Fought in the Battle of Bulge. Was wounded by shrapnel from an artillery shell. Discharged 12/28/1945.
