Activity During WWII

He served in the Brunswick Shipyards until drafted by the Army. He was at Fort McClellan with B Company, 21st Training Battalion when he was discharged for the convenience of the government. He then immediately enlisted in the Regular Army and served with the 347th Harbour Craft Company as a Mechanical Marine Engineer in Kobe, Japan. He was awarded the WWII Victory Medal; Army of Occupation Medal with Japan clasp; Honorable Service Lapel Button WWII; Sharpshooter Badge with Rifle Bar and Marksman Badge with Carbine Bar.
