Activity During WWII

He was inducted into the U.S. Army on July 10, 1944 and sent to Fort Bragg North Carolina for his basic training. With the 4th regiment, 33rd Division, he served in the Engineer Battalion of the Army in the Pacific Theatre of Operations. He saw action in the Philippine Campaign. He holds the following awards: Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Ribbon, the Philippine Liberation, WWII Victory, American Theatre nd the Good Conduct Medals. On November 7, 1945, he was honorably discharged, and immediately re-enlisted.
