Activity During WWII

On February 8, 1943, he was called for Army service with the Army Air Forces. He completed his basic training at the Flexible Gunnery School at Tyndall Field, where he was trained in the operation of machine guns in preparation for service as a crew member on a bomber. In October 1944, he was graduated from the Army of the Army Air Forces Training Command. he was prepared as an instructor for one of the Nation's seven aerial gunnery schools by a comprehensive six weeks course in modern methods of aerial gunnery. He served with the Military Police Division, 4th Air Force. He holds the following Ribbons: the American Theatre, WWII Victory and the Good Conduct Medal. On February 7, 1946, he was honorably discharged from the Army Air Service at Mitchell Field, New York under the point system.
