Activity During WWII

Enlisted in the U.S. Navy and attended Aviation and Gunnery School. He served from 1943 to 1946 and survived the 1945 attack of the USS Ticonderoga in the Pacific after 2 kamikaze planes struck the carrier while operating off the coast of Formosa in the Philippine Islands.
