Activity During WWII

Served with the 361st Engineer Special Service Regiment. He came to France in 1944 with a regiment of engineers. After victory in Europe he was sent to the Pacific Front in August 1945. The 361st was used to rehabilitate roads in France and build a hospital in Mourmelon, the regiment landed in October 1944 in Cherbourg on the SS Amsterdam.
