Activity During WWII

He served in U.S. Army Air Corps in the 15th Air Force, 463rd Bomb Group, 775th Squadron flying out of Italy. He was a right waist gunner on a B-17. His plane developed engine trouble over Yugoslavia and everyone had to bail out. After landing, his crew was captured by Germans and sent to different prisoner of war camps in Germany. An American tank crew liberated them.
