Activity During WWII

He was inducted on April 9, 1945. He received his basic training at Camp Blanding, Florida and at Camp Gordon, Georgia, with the 215th Battalion, Company C. On December 17, 1945, he left the United States for Europe and served in Berlin, Germany until October 9, 1946. He was awarded the Army of Occupation Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. On November 2, 1946, he was discharged at Fort Dix, New Jersey.
