Activity During WWII

On June 8, 1942, he was inducted into the Army at Fort Jay, New York and sent to camp Upton, New York for reprocessing. For his basic training he was sent to Camp Siebert, Alabama, and to Camp Lee, Virginia, and later to Camp Stoneman Embarkation Center, California With the 38th Infantry 22nd Base, P.D., he served in the Philippine Islands, returning to the United States on December 5, 1945. At Fort Dix, New Jersey, he was honorably discharged on February 8, 1946, in the general demobilization.
