Carpenter's Mate First Class. Served in the North and South Atlantic Naval Operations. Ship's Carpenter cred of the seaplane tender U.S.S. Humboldt specifically detailed to prepare the ship for President Franklin D. Roosevelt's Latin Conference during January 1943. The occasion was Roosevelt's three day conference with President Getulio Vargas of Brazil and inspection of inspection of Brazilian and American forces in the Potengi River harbor at Natal, Brazil, just after the Casblanca Conference. Had a personal occasion to meet and talk with the President.
