Entered service in 1942. Basic training at Camp Wallace, Texas. Then went to an Engine School and Motor Transportation School at Camp Davis, North Carolina. Activated at Camp Stewart, Georgia with the 357th Search Light Battalion. Shipped out to Honolulu and then to Guam and Saipan in the South Pacific. Last stop was home to a 3 week old baby in West Virginia.
