Activity During WWII

On February 8, 1943, he was inducted and began his basic training at Camp Swift, Texas. He took further training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Camp Polk, Louisiana and Camp Shelby, Mississippi. he was originally assigned to Medical detachment 262nd AFA Battalion. In September 1945 the 262nd was deactivated and he was transferred to Jefferson Barracks, Missouri, to work in a Separation Unit. On October of 1945 he was promoted from Corporal to Sergeant and was discharged as such on February 22, 1946.
