Activity During WWII

He was a passenger on the HMT Rohna. The Rohna and four other troop ships left Oran in French Algeria with cargo and troops. Off Bejaia, Algeria the convoy was attacked by German Luftwaffe. A glide bomb was released that hit Rohna on the port side and it eventually sank. He was declared Missing In Action and later Killed In Action on November 27, 1943. He received the Purple Heart.
