Activity During WWII

Enlisted on 4 December 1941 at Fresno, California. Concluded part of his training at Dale Mabry airfield in Tallahassee, Florida where he met his wife. He was assigned to the 15th Air Force as a nose gunner for the B-24H Liberator named 'Calamity Jane'. On 7 February 1945 on a mission to Vienna, Austria, the 'Calamity Jane' received a direct hit in the bomb bay causing it to burst into flames. It then collided with another B-24 in the formation. He is buried in Tallahassee, Florida.
