Petty Officer Third Class, served in the United States Navy during WWII. He joined the Navy when he was 17 years old and was discharged on the 24th of July when he was 21 years old. He served 1 1/2 years on the USS Topeka, 6 months on the Bremerton, and 1 year on the USS Miami. He served in combat and was awarded with 2 combat stars, medals from the China campaign, and medals from the Asian campaign.
