Rank: Corporal. Inducted into the United States Army July 20, 1942 at Denver, Colorado. After completing the required training phases, he was deployed to the Mediterranean Theater of Operations. He served with U.S. Army Fourth Ranger Battalion, attached to the U.S. First ‘Big-Red-One’ Army Division. Sunday, November 5, 1944 he was reported as Missing in Action, after a combat engagement against the German and Italian Armed forces. In remembrance of the Brave, they have recorded his name in the Tablets of the Missing and memorialized at the Sicily-Rome American Cemetery in Nettuno, Italy. In his Memory and Honor, this American Patriot received the following decorations posthumously: Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. The Bronze star was awarded for his Bravery, Act of Merit and Meritorious Service in Combat, and the Purple Heart, for his Heroism and ultimate sacrifice.
