Rank: Motor Machinist’s Mate Third Class. Inducted into the United States Navy July 6, 1943 at Detroit, Michigan. He completed his basic military training at the U.S. Naval Training Station Great Lakes, Illinois. Upon his graduation from boot camp, he was transferred to an unknown U.S. Navy Warship for duty. Thursday, June 28, 1945 he was reported missing in action or buried at sea Location: Atlantic Theater of Operations. In remembrance of the brave, his name is permanently inscribed in the tablets of the missing, memorialized at the East Coast Memorial Location: New York City, New York. In his Memory and Honor, this American Patriot was awarded the Purple Heart posthumously, for his Heroism and ultimate sacrifice.
