Activity During WWII

Served in Company A, 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, from August 1942 to June 1945. First saw combat in Sicily-Rome, jumped into Normandy on 6 June 1944 and fought at La Fiere causeway, and was wounded on 3 January 1945 in Belgium during the Battle of the Bulge. Served in the Korean War and eventually retired from military service in 1965.
