He also served in the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater from 1944 to 1946. Received a Bronze Star for Combat Duty during the battle of Northern France and Battle of the Bulge serving under General Patton. Received the Meritorious Service Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with one battle star.
