Activity During WWII

Served with the Medical Attachment of the 250th Combat Engineers in European Theater of Operations as a Technician Fourth Grade. Made emergency treatment to members of the Battalion and directed or sent injured soldiers to the Battalion Aid Stations. Administered drugs and narcotics and emergency bandages. Also worked in Battalion Aid Station under direction of Surgical Officer. Received a medical discharge after losing an eye in the war in January 1946. Authorized American Theatre, European–African–Middle Eastern Theatre with Battle Participation with Stars for Rhineland and Central European Campaigns. Awarded Good Conduct and World War II Victory Medal.
