Activity During WWII

Served in USAAF during WW II as a tail gunner on a B-24 Liberator bomber named the A-Train. Attended USAAF schools at Harlingen AAF, TX., Gowen Field, Boise ID. Flew 44 missions out of Italy and was awarded the Air Medal with six Oak Leaf Clusters. Was credited with shooting down 1 1/2 enemy planes.
