Activity During WWII

He entered service on November 16, 1942 at Ft. Dix, NJ as a private. He finished basic training there and became a Motor Transportation NCO. He was transferred to Battery A, 862nd Field Artillery, 63rd Infantry Division and reached the rank of Sergeant. 63rd Infantry was transferred to the European theater after training. The unit fought in France and Germany. Victor was wounded in February 1945 and discharged in November 1945. Awards: Good Conduct Medal, European African Middle Eastern Medal, American Campaign Medal with 1 battle star, and WWII Victory Medal.
