Activity During WWII

Rank: Private First Class. He served in the United States Marine Corps as a Rifleman, assigned to Fox Company, Second Battalion, Eighth Marines and an element of the Second Marine Division. His Division participated in the amphibious assault, and occupation of Guadalcanal Island Location: Southwestern Pacific Theater of Operations. On Sunday, November 22, 1942 he was reported missing in action, after a combat engagement with the Imperial Japanese Armed Forces. In remembrance of the brave, his name is permanently inscribed in the tablets of the missing, memorialized at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial Location: Fort Bonifacio, Manila, Philippines. In his Memory and Honor, this American Patriot was awarded the Purple Heart posthumously, for his Heroism and ultimate sacrifice.
