Truck Driver, (Heavy), for the 5th Ferrying Group 555th Army Air Forces Battalion. During the period of 15 July 1944 through 4 November 1945,he served as a Field and Air Transport driver, supplying soldiers fighting in the front lines of Italy. From the earliest assault at Anzio,he was continually under fire from German Forces holding Italy. Awarded the Combat infantryman Badge for combat situations in Rome and Arno Italy. Returned to the U. S. on 19 November 1945. He was Honorably Discharged on 10 April 1946 at Fort Bliss, Texas.
