Activity During WWII

Trained as a radio operator and associated with the Navajo Code Talkers prior to being assigned to the 6th Marines who were in stand-by at the Battle of Iwo Jima. Later deployed to Tsingtao, China and witnessed the surrender of the Japanese there. He was honorably discharged in 1946.
