Serviced and maintained electronics to the various components of the planes on five different aircraft carriers (Yorktown, Ranger, Saratoga, Enterprise, and Ranger). One of the carriers he was on did take a torpedo hit though he and most all crewman were not harmed. He was scheduled to fight in the battle of Midway but his name was retracted and the carrier he was supposed to be on (Yorktown), took a torpedo hit and sunk. He served from 1939 - 1945.
