Activity During WWII

Enlisted in June of 1943 in the U.S. Army as a private and transferred to the 115th Infantry Regiment, 29th infantry Division after basic infantry training. He was in the D-Day second wave on June 6, 1944 at Omaha beach and fought through the bocage of Normandy into St. Lo. He was killed on August 3, 1944 near Percy-en-Normandie. His awards were the World War II Victory Medal, Purple Heart, American Campaign Medal, Army Presidential Unit Citation, and Army Good Conduct Medal.
