Entered the U.S. Army Air Corps in January 1943 and attended the Army Air Training School at Bendoin College and the RCAF Technical Training School Ontario Canada. Served in the American Theatre and the Central Pacific Theatre of Operations as a Staff Sergeant Radar Repairman. Awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the World War Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal. Honorably discharged on 27 July 1946.
