He enlisted in the US Army and was attached to the 27th Infantry Division, 105th Infantry Regiment. He was killed in action in Saipan in the Marinara Islands on July 7, 1944. On June 21, 2022, his remains were positively identified by Armed Forces Medical Examiner System. He will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery. Awarded posthumously the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.
