Fireman First Class, served in the South Pacific from 1945 to 1947 aboard LCI 691. He and his crew helped extract Chiang Kai-shek, and his men from French Indochina, and transport them to Formosa. His service, sacrifice, and dedication to this country earned him an Honorable Service lapel pin (Ruptured Duck), Honorable Reserve Discharge Button, the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, and a WWII Victory Medal. All of which will be presented to him at the WWII Memorial by a Montana Representative on September 17th, 2022. 75 years later.
