Activity During WWII

He was selected to work in the office of General Dwight D. Eisenhower. As a bilingual (French-English) soldier, he could translate documents, decipher messages and speak directly with people whose countries the Allies were liberating. He was ordered to deliver gas three days in a row from Le Havre to Belgium to General George Patton in preparation for Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded with a Bronze Star by General Patton. He also received the French Legion of Honor rank of Chevalier.
