He was inducted into the Army Air Force June 21, 1943 and was officially discharged on February 13, 1946 as a Corporal with an Honorable Discharge. He served as a Medical Tech - 409, performing various medical duties to assist medical officers in the care and treatment of the sick, injured or wounded. He received citations for World War II Victory medal, Good Conduct Medal and American Theater Ribbon. His service started in Ft. Meade, MD and ended at Patterson Field, OH, including 12 assignments in between. He remained stateside during his service.
