Served in the "Americal" 164th Division Infantry Company E. He trained in New Caledonia in 1943. He served in the Figi Islands in 1943. He fought in the battle on Bougainville in 1943. In 1945 he fought on Leyte, Cebu, Negros in the Philippines. In 1945 he served as a member of the United States Army of Occupation in Yokohama and Tokyo Japan. Awarded Bronze Star Medal for Meritorious Achievement in the Pacific Theater on or about the 30th of March 1944. Awarded on May 19th 1948.
