He spent 2 1/2 years in Europe. He served on an artillery crew in Battery D of the 125thAAA Gun Battalion. They served on the Cliffs of Dover in England, Luxembourg, Holland and Belgium. They were in the Battle of the Bulge. He served as an MP in Paris after the war ended. He received the EAME Theatre Ribbon w/ 3 bronze stars, American Theatre Ribbon, Good Conduct Ribbon and the Victory Medal.
