Activity During WWII

Was killed in action in the initial landings on the coast of France, June 8, 1944, while caring for wounded. A veteran of the invasion of Sicily he enlisted in December, 1942. He received his training at Bainbridge, Maryland, Norfolk, Virginia and Brooklyn, New York. He went overseas in May 1942. He served aboard the USS Calvert and the HMSS Maurentina.
