Activity During WWII

One of the first 1,000 men to land on Utah Beach the morning of June 6th 1944. 4th Infantry Division (Ivy Division), 8th Infantry Regiment, Company L. Wounded during the Battle of the Bulge, (December 3, 1944). Credited with the capture of 2 downed enemy pilots. One of the 1st 100 allied soldiers to enter Germany. Awarded the Purple Heart, European Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Ribbon and the Distinguished Unit Badge.
