Inducted into the Army in March 1942. He was assigned to Camp Upton Long Island NY, later to Fort Lewis in Washington State. In July of 1944 he was shipped overseas to Europe, (ETO) becoming a member of the 90th, (Tough O'mbres Infantry Division, 359th Regiment. I understand he saw action in St.Lo, and the Siegfried Line. He was Killed in Action on 13, Dec. 1944, in Dillingen German, just days before his 28th birthday. He is interred in the ABMC Cemetery, Luxembourg. He received the Bronze Star, and the Purple Heart Posthumously.
