Activity During WWII

After basic training in Fort McClelland, Alabama, which began in January 1945, he boarded a Victory Ship from Camp Anza, California, and served in The Philippines (August 1945-September 1946). Due to the war ending while on a troop transport ship in the Pacific Ocean, his main assignment in the Philippines was processing returning officers and soldiers back to the United States; serving in the 5th & 21st Replacement Depots.
