He was awarded several awards & medals, The Merchant Marine Atlantic War Zone Bar, Merchant Marine Mediterranean Middle East War Zone Bar, WW2 Victory Medal, American Campaign, American Defense, Navy Good Conduct the Asiatic Pacific medal 1 Star, Navy Occupation medal (Asia) clasp, China Service Medal He participated in Okinawa/Gunto Operations', Joined "Magic Carpet" Initiated & Qualified as "SHELLBACK", He was also Entitled to Amphibious Force Insignia. Honorably discharged on June 07,1946.
