Activity During WWII

Entered the Army on October 10, 1941 & spent 39 months overseas. Served in the European and African-Middle Eastern Theaters with the 1st Armored Division, 68th Armored Field Artillery Battalion as a forward observer. Fought in the Tunisian Campaign, Naples Foggia Campaign, Rome-Arno Campaign, Apennines Campaign, and the Po Valley Campaign. Received a battlefield commission & was honorably discharged on October 9, 1945 as a First Lieutenant.
